![]() ![]() In 2019, Rodolfo founded the Falcón Conducting Workshop an organisation which nurtures and supports the development of emerging conductors through masterclass and workshop series in his hometown as well as worldwide at high renowned institutions such as the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas. Strongly influenced by his own remarkable education as part of El Sistema under the guidance of José Antonio Abreu and Teresa Hernández, Rodolfo is committed to contributing to music education. Some of his most recent guest conductor performances were with Appasionato Orchestra at the Verbier Festival 2022, Symphony Orchestra of the Principality of Asturias, The Hallé Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, Simón Bolívar Symphony, Bogotá Philharmonic, Yucatán Philharmonic, Querétaro Symphony Orchestra, UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra, Minería Symphony Orchestra, among others.įuture highlights include performances with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, RTVE Symphony Orchestra, his debut with the Gävle Symphony Orchestra, among others. Rodolfo made his debut with Los Angeles Philharmonic in early 2023 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, conducting Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. ![]() In summer 2022, he was selected to take part in the Conducting Fellowship of the Verbier Festival, where he filled in the roll of assistant conductor for Charles Dutoit and Gianandrea Noseda, among others. Rodolfo made his European debut at Philharmonie Berlin in 2019 with the Hauptstadt Sinfonie-Orchester. Hans-Dieter Baum, and previously his Bachelor at the Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes de Venezuela. He completed his Bachelor and Master’s conducting studies at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin under the tutelage of Prof. He also won the 1st Prize at the 2018 Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México International Conducting Competition (OFUNAM), and 2nd Prize at the 2020 Inaugural Siemens-Hallé International Conductor Competition in Manchester, leading to immediate invitations with The Hallé. In 2023, Barráez was awarded the 1st Prize and the Orchestra Prize at the 2nd Hong Kong International Conducting Competition. Rodolfo is also currently Conductor in Residence at the Paris Opera. The 2022-23 season sees him join the Singapore Symphony Orchestra as Associate Conductor, as well as the Los Angeles Philharmonic as a Dudamel Conducting Fellow.
